Caribbean native Alex Charles, also known as Brooks, had worked as a barber for seven years in America but had never owned his own facility.

 Today, he’s not only a recognized hair artist and trendsetter but also a qualified and successful entrepreneur with expertise in traditional European barbering, ladies hairdressing and Afro-Caribbean Styles.

Along with being a barbershop, the staff at  Brooks Barber and Spa offers manicures, pedicures, Facials, Peel washes, hair braiding, twists, and relaxing, among other services.

Althea Alexander, a partner in  business with Charles, says their motto is; “Taking care of yourself is like taking care of your health.” She believes maintaining oneself is important, in just the same way going for a doctor’s check-up is important.

Their goal is for more people to take care of themselves. According to Alexander, the many different services they offer are what sets them apart from other businesses.
